The Beginning
It started in our
family kirana shop.
The idea started from a real problem inside the founder’s family shop. Managing billing, stock and customer dues was confusing and difficult with existing solutions. Many apps were either too simple — just a digital notebook — or too complex, asking shop owners to learn ERP-style workflows that didn’t match how they actually work.
So we did something basic: we sat with local shop owners. We watched them bill customers between conversations, write udhaar in dog-eared notebooks, juggle thermal printers and unreliable internet, and hand over receipts that never quite looked “official”. The biggest challenges were not just bookkeeping — they were collecting payments on time, knowing what stock is left, maintaining trust with customers, and using software that genuinely felt simple and worked when the network didn’t.
